When you host an event at The Britannia Shoreditch, you’re not booking a venue.
You’re claiming a home. A canvas. A party space with no curfew, no clipboard energy, and no one telling you to turn the music down at 10pm. You’re stepping into a beautifully designed, creatively charged, fully serviced private house in the beating heart of East London—and it’s all yours.
From intimate micro weddings and brand dinners to rooftop pizza parties, creative retreats and house parties that stretch into dawn, we curate it all—start to finish.
And when the party ends?
You don’t have to leave.
This house sleeps six guests comfortably, and we can even accommodate a seventh in the dressing room. No taxis. No packing up. No goodbyes. Just one last drink, one more laugh, and a night you’ll never forget.

Our in-house events planner will work directly with you to build your vision from the ground up. Whether it’s boho, black-tie, or something in between, we’ll take care of every detail, so all you have to do is arrive.
We’ll handle:
• Concept development & creative styling
• Timeline planning & scheduling
• Full catering or chef coordination
• Mixology, bar staff, and drinks menus
• Lighting & décor
• DJ, sound, or playlists
• Photography & videography
• Table styling & floral design
• Setup, clean-up, and absolutely everything in between
We only take on a limited number of curated events per year, so each one gets our full attention, energy, and creative care.
A Chef’s Kitchen, Built for Feasts
At the centre of the ground floor is our chef’s kitchen—open-plan, beautifully lit, and fully equipped for everything from a private dinner to a supper club. Whether you want a five-course tasting menu, a grazing table filled with local produce, or something casual and interactive like taco night, we’ll help you make it happen.
We work with some of London’s most exciting chefs, caterers and culinary creatives. You can bring your own, or we’ll recommend trusted talent we know can deliver both food and flair.
Pizza on the Roof
Want something more relaxed, more hands-on, more fun? We’ve got a wood-fired pizza oven on the rooftop terrace. Yes, really. We can bring in pizzaiolos from Pizza Pilgrims, Yard Sale, or your own favourite local vendor to hand-stretch and bake pies right in front of your guests.

We’ve recently added a private dressing room—a velvet-draped, mirror-lined, soft-lit space that’s ideal for getting ready, outfit changes, or a quiet moment away from the crowd.
It’s perfect for:

• Artists/performers
• Stylists & makeup teams
• That one friend who always brings three looks
And yes—it can also sleep a seventh guest, giving you a little extra space to stretch the stayover or accommodate a last-minute plus one.

The Britannia is not a soulless venue. It’s not a blank space. It’s a home—designed by creatives, layered with art, textures, and memories. It’s equal parts boutique hotel, East End hideaway, and old-school members’ club. And you get the whole thing to yourself.

Want to party until 5am? Go for it. Want a formal sit-down dinner followed by rooftop dancing? We’ll set it up. Want a full takeover weekend with events across three days? We’ll plan the lot.
Stay the Night (and the Morning After)
Every event at The Britannia includes an overnight stay—so when the music fades and the candles burn low, you don’t have to leave.
