ABOUT
Welcome to The Britannia Shoreditch—a one-of-a-kind private home and creative escape in the trendiest corner of London’s East End. Nestled just behind Brick Lane, with the scent of bagels drifting in from the 24-hour bakery next door and the hum of Columbia Road Flower Market only a short walk away, this isn’t just somewhere to stay. It’s a feeling. A space with soul. A house that holds stories. A place that wraps its arms around you and says: you’re in the right place.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll understand why The Britannia is different. This isn’t a generic rental filled with flatpack furniture and hollow design gestures. It’s a home created by two British creatives turned Mexican expats, built on decades of experience in fashion, film, music, chaos, and beauty. Every object has been chosen, every room curated. The velvet armchairs. The art-covered walls. The light filtering through the skylights in the upstairs salon. The cracked-leather-bound books stacked by the fireplace. You feel it. It’s lived-in. It’s cinematic. It’s intoxicating in the best possible way.
Set within the walls of what was once an East End pub, The Britannia has been completely transformed into a two-story creative hideaway. From the street, it still looks like a place that could hold a thousand stories—and it does. Inside, you’ll find an open-plan living and dining space on the ground floor, perfect for slow breakfasts, late-night drinks, and everything in between. Upstairs, a grand master bedroom, a second bedroom or dressing room, and a hidden roof terrace create an unexpectedly private, tucked-away world—all just steps from London’s most vibrant streets.
What makes The Britannia truly special isn’t just the décor or the postcode—it’s the energy. There’s a sense that something extraordinary has happened here and might happen again at any moment. Guests often say it feels like stepping into a film. Or into a dream. And in many ways, it is. The space has been used for location shoots, music videos, supper clubs, and spontaneous dinner parties where the wine never runs out and the candles burn until dawn. And yet, at its heart, this is still a home. It’s where comfort meets character. Where design doesn’t try too hard, but always gets it right. Where you can lie back in bed with a cup of tea and watch the East End light shift across the ceiling.
The Britannia is perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape, creatives needing a stylish base in London, families with an appreciation for character, or friends celebrating something special. It’s a place to stay up late. A place to write a novel. A place to just be. And unlike a traditional hotel or venue, we don’t rotate guests in and out like it’s a numbers game. This house is personal. We open it up to people who’ll respect its rhythm and love it for all its layers.
You’ll find us right where Shoreditch and Whitechapel meet—a corner of London that’s constantly reinventing itself. Step outside and you’re surrounded by independent galleries, world-class street art, vintage shops, and hidden wine bars. A Banksy sits just around the corner. Fashion students shoot their graduate films on the streets. Michelin-starred restaurants rub shoulders with smoky kebab shops and neon-lit dive bars. The energy is unmatched. And in the middle of it all is The Britannia: serene, stylish, and completely unforgettable.
We believe in real hospitality—not just clean towels and Wi-Fi passwords (though, of course, we have both). We offer seamless check-in, a concierge-style team if needed, and guidance on everything from where to buy the best sourdough to which gallery is showing the next big thing. We care because this house isn’t just a business. It’s a piece of us. And we’ve filled it with love, history, and more than a little bit of rock & roll magic.
This is not a sterile luxury apartment. This is not an event hall with a fresh lick of paint. This is not a soulless Airbnb with no one to greet you. This is The Britannia Shoreditch. And if you know, you know.
So whether you’re here for a weekend of people-watching on Redchurch Street, hosting a late-night creative salon, or just looking to escape the noise of the world without ever leaving the heart of the city, you’ve found your place. You’ve found your people. You’ve found a home that feels like nowhere else.
Come stay with us. And become part of the story.

THE BRITANNIA SHOREDITCH
LONDONS wildest stay
BE A PART OF HISTORY
through the curtains
And the Britannia hits like a private gallery crossed with a Shoreditch speakeasy. Raw timber, teal walls, Italian chairs, and art that doesn’t whisper it shouts.
The collection spans two decades of London street artists, portraits and curiosities East End spirit hung unapologetically on every wall.
And then there’s the Britannia drinks trolley: world-famous, fully stocked, always ready to start (or end) the night right.
Every detail matters, chandeliers blazing over a rough-hewn table, shelves stacked with books, vinyl, and stories. It’s design with grit, charm, and mischief pure Britannia.

the MASTER SUITE
The Britannia’s master suite is a rooftop sanctuary, lofty, private and made for indulgence. Think roll-top bath under skylights, a professional makeup 'girls’ club', and a bed dressed in thousand-thread count linens. French windows spill onto your own terrace with city views, a pizza oven and a gas fire to keep nights warm and close. Inside, a massive screen, rich sound and walls hung with more striking art set the tone. It’s not just a bedroom — it’s your own hideaway in the heart of Shoreditch.

GUEST ROOMS
The Britannia’s guest rooms are intimate hideaways, a calm retreat from Shoreditch’s high energy, just outside the door. The Bowie Room and The Cure Room come loaded with everything you need: coffee station, fridge, TV and sound system. Wrap yourself in thousand-thread count sheets, sink into beds built for long mornings and wake to double-aspect views across leafy streets. Walls are lined with more art collected over years, giving each room its own soul and story. These aren’t just guest rooms they’re little sanctuaries with serious character.

BOUDOIR
The Britannia unveils The Boudoir — an epic new addition that’s pure rock & roll. Sexy, intimate, and unapologetically playful, sonos sound, it’s a space that bends to your mood: pre-night-out glam session, private nightclub vibes, or a late-night nook for secrets and laughter.
Expect the full treatment: a Hollywood makeup mirror, full-length reflections, deep wool and sheepskin underfoot, and art that keeps the walls buzzing. At its heart, a portrait of our landlady, Pony, perched on the Groucho Club pool table — the ultimate stamp of Britannia mischief.

THE PINK BATHROOM
At the heart of the Britannia lies the Pink Palace, a bathroom that refuses to behave. A vast sunken stone-clad double tub anchors a hall of wall-to-wall antique pink mirror cladding, bouncing light and laughter into infinity. Power shower in sepewrate uber liux readed glass, Solid Brass floor underfoot, lush plants, flowers, apothecary jars brimming with salts and soaps — it’s all here. But the twist? A full Sonos system, a myriad of ditmmerble lights and always equipped with pillar candles, so the Pink Palace can flip from sanctuary to secret nightclub in seconds. This isn’t a bathroom. It’s a party inside the party.
